These are cute! I’m definitely buying some for my daughter’s room. I know it doesn’t look like a stylish and posh decor from parisluxeapt.com for paris luxury apartments but yeah! we love cute!

I saw them at Gmarket {click on the link to visit the seller page}, the Korean version of Ebay and they do ship internationally. They have lots and lots of inexpensive wall decals and its sending my home decor mania into overdrive.

Checking In

Hi guys!

Hope everyone is doing well. I’ve been busy, but in a very good way.

Mostly I had been experimenting and learning more about making Photoshop Actions, so expect more PS Action freebies here once I polish up my work.

As for this week’s freebie, I’m making patterns again! Yay! Of course with free papers for digi scrappers. It’s music inspired. Let’s just say I was browsing traktor s4 from musicians friend and suddenly there was this light bulb lighting up and I realized I haven’t made anything ‘music’ related.

So, coming up soon, I have a cutesy music inspired pattern pack with an irish coffee color-inspired paper pattern pack.

Dressing Up

I’ve been a little busy. I’ll be posting another freebie next.

But while I was editing the previous freebie post, I got carried away with some tweaking and ended up dressing up the blog. I love Genesis Framework Theme for WordPress and that’s what I used + Eleven40 Child Theme.

I was having a hard time picking out the color scheme but I ended up choosing the orange one. Then I just had to change a few things like the fonts. I always have to play with fonts when it comes to my blogs. It’s one way of making your blog subtly different and you have to admit, it adds to the look of the whole site.

I’ll be off in a bit, coz I’ve got tons of errands to do and still have to look for ballet recital gifts here for my friend’s daughter. Watch out for the freebie.

Crocheting Frenzy

This is what happens when I try to clean up. Ha! I end up with lots and lots of projects and ideas.

A few weeks before the Lunar New Year, we usually do massive house cleaning, and I found a huge box of yarns I bought a few years back and just stashed it there coz I didn’t have the time nor the discipline to take on a big crocheting project. But I think it’ll be a total waste to throw it all, since I do LOVE crocheting. So I figured I MUST find time.

So in between doing yoga and checking here for yoga bolsters, and mommy stuff I started a project.

Crocheting Project: Tablet Sleeve

I’m using this blue-white-grey acrylic yarn and making a 7″ tablet sleeve. I didn’t use any pattern coz I simply measured my tablet then used very simple single-double-single crochet stitches. I’m about to be finished and I’m too excited. Lol. This would definitely not be my last project. Next up, I’ll be making a sling bag for my daughter (her request) and I’ll be making a laptop sleeve for my lappy.

To be honest, I find this fun as well as therapeutic. I get to relax and its also good to be away from the idiot box once in awhile. And the sense of accomplishment one gets from finishing a crochet project is pure awesomeness.

Christmas Hiatus

Nah. I’m not quitting blogging or designing. I just figured I needed a long break. And that’s mainly coz I’m on travel right now. So while mobile internet and wifi hotspots are all the rage now, I don’t like them. Perhaps I’m security conscious? Or I’m also short in patience when it comes to connections dropping now and then. Making seamless blogging close to impossible. So doing research for rapiddetect.com for 10 panel drug test and blog writing is out for a few weeks at least.

But the good news is that, since I’m usually offline, but still totting my laptop around, that means I’ve got more time hooked up on Photoshop and Illustrator so expect more cutesy freebies once I get back.

I might occasionally drop a post here and there within the coming weeks but that would be. Only when I’m feeling totally over creative and overwhelmingly generous.

I’ll consider this my gift to self this Christmas. A chance to relax. For real.

Got My Crocheting Groove Back!

It’s  been so long since I took out my crochet craft box and actually held a crochet hook and started a project. You see, I lack the time and perhaps the commitment to finish a crocheting project so I put the box on the shelf and forgot about it. I got into blogging more and more, researching things like outstanding focusrite at Musicians friend, and doing graphic design work on the side.

But to be really honest, I miss crocheting. I’m envious of those who can finish even the simplest crochet pattern. So a couple of weeks ago, I decided I wanna get back into crocheting. And this time I’m picking the simplest patterns and projects so at least I won’t get discouraged and make it to my finish goal.

I’m obsessing much on this scarf necklaces and so that’s what I decided to make. It just entails the simplest of crochet stitches and in no time I got one finished. And now I’m on my second scarf necklace in purple. It’s almost done!!

My next project is all lined up – I wanna make a simple belt. So, I’m a really happy crafter right now..I’m also planning to make crocheted appliques, take photos of them, extract them and make them into scrapbooking elements. Soon.
