Scrapping Resource: Scrappin’ Cop

I kinda miss featuring scrapping and design resource sites here. Hmm. Time to rectify that.

Whenever I feel super lazy and in a creative rut and have to do some quick digi scrapping I just head over to my favorite digi scrap download sites. Believe me there are lots of awesome designers out there who generously give time to create beautiful digi scrapping elements. Finding them is even easier than getting yourself custom mattress deals.

Anyway, one of my favorite digi scrap elements download sites is Scrappin’ Cop. She is just awesome and super generous in providing freebies not just for Personal Use but a ton of them also free for Commercial Use. Now that’s what I would call generosity.

Scrappin' Cop: DigiScrapping Freebies

So if you’re looking for more digiscrap freebies, head over there. It would also be great if you can credit her site if you do make use of her elements. It’s one little way of saying thanks. As a designer myself, I’d say that really is a big deal to keep us inspired to create more, even if its not required.

PS Freebie: 10 Leaf PS Brushes

Ola! I’m back with a freebie! And I hope with this freebie offering, I’ll be forgiven for leaving digi scrapbooking for awhile and getting seriously sidetracked with crocheting. Hmm, I know this would be much appreciated than say a snark tuner at GC?

Anyway, I have Photoshop brush pack for today. I picked out high resolution leaf images courtesy of Photo Rack. Then I cleaned it up in CS4, removed backgrounds then turned it into brushes. I was actually making this for a personal project but I ended up making a lot so I might as well share it with everyone.

For sure, you craftsy and creative digi-scrappers and graphic designers out there would find some cool use for these.

Feel free to use this any way you want and you may share this to others, but please do not host the freebie on your own site, nor should you claim it as your own. If you want to share it to others please just link to this post so your friends can download it.

I’m feeling extra generous so I also whipped some floral elements for digi-scrapbooking projects using the freebie above. I’ll be posting it next.

Scrapping Freebie: Pretty Floral Overlay + 15 Sample Papers

Here’s a belated New Year’s gift to everyone. And since I can’t possibly afford to give all my blog readers avo cigar so I made a brand new freebie pack for download.

I was making a background pattern for one of my blogs and I wanted a floral background. I was experimenting with various color schemes so I decided to make an overlay so I could easily change backgrounds and mix and match to my heart’s content. This is a free pattern I downloaded from PatternCooler.com and I cooked it up on Photoshop, adjusted the levels, removed the background till I had the overlay.

On this freebie pack, I’m including 1 white overlay .png + 1 black overlay .png. I’m also including the PSD file so you can just easily change the color of the flowers. Alternatively, you can also use the PNG overlay then clip a color/texture/pattern on top for variation.

Scrapping Freebie: Blue Christmas PS Patterns & Papers

It’s freebie time! Sorry it took me over a week to post another one. I was actually scrambling to put this together since these are some stuff I made a few months back. Seriously, my graphic design files are in need of symbol barcode scanner just for me to keep track. Oftentimes, I would make something, intending to get back to it then eventually it gets buried in the mess.

Anyway, the freebie today is a set of 5 transparent patterns with a Christmas theme. The design is all white and its has a transparent background. I prefer making patterns this way so, it’ll be much easier to customize and its also great when you want to come up with various looks based on the patterns.

On Photoshop, simply add a background color/pattern/gradient or whatever you fancy, overlay the the pattern and voila, you have a new background.

This freebie comes with 11 free digiscrap background papers in blue-purple shades. I really fancy the color blue right now and I think it’ll be my Christmas theme. But if you’re not much into blues, then use the pattern pack and get happy with colors.

I’d like to credit the following resources I used to make some of the patterns. Christmas brushes by Flina (I used the Christmas tree..), Carr Xmas Dingbats (for the snowman, and the other tree vector) and Ars Grafik for some snowflake brushes.

I’ll be making more fun Christmas patterns {hopefully in red! Lol} so watch out for that.

Graphic Design Resource: Font Squirrel

Here’s another one to add to my list of favorite design resources. I love free design resources and you can see I have a blog category here called Scrapbooking Resources where I feature design resources, freebie sites, font sites and so on.

Whenever I have some free time, I am usually on the prowl for design inspirations and resources. So while others perhaps find joy in browsing 99perfume.com for joop perfume, I am usually on a creative site hunt.

Anyhow, one of my favorite places for font resources is Font Squirrel.

It’s a free font repository, you can download lots of fonts there. While their selections are not as extensive as big font sites, I love how clean, structures and easily navigated the site is. They also make it doubly easier for web designer to make use of the fonts with their Font Face Generators. Also, their fonts are 100% free for commercial use.

They have an awesome collection of comic and retro fonts, which are really great if you are making scrapbook pages. Check them out.

Scrapping Freebie:Free Halloween Patterns and 20 Digi Scrap Papers

Here’s something nice (i hope!!) for everyone.  Halloween is coming up and I know some of you are looking to make some Halloween home decor, scrapbooks and whatnots, so I made this. I actually made this coz I was planning on making some trick or treat bag tags and wanted a unique background, but as per usual, I found myself making more than one. Don’t you think I deserve pageant medals or perhaps digis-crapping medal? Hahaha!

So what do we have here? 4 Free Photoshop Patterns (.pat) with Halloween theme. All of them are transparent so you can easily add a layer below it and get crazy with the background/color you want. I’m pretty sure you can all come up with awesome design combinations. But just in case you get lazy and want some instant paper/backgrounds, I have thrown in 20 papers as extra. Hope you enjoy using this.

Feel free to share this, blog reposts allowed but please don’t host direct downloads for my files,  just forward your friends over here for downloads.

Graphic Design Resource: Wood Workshop

Hi guys! How are things?

I’m supposed to post my latest freebie and my first Photoshop Action but its not ready yet. Well, its almost ready, I just need to make the samples etc. I intended to do it yesterday, but I was sent on an errand to buy knee walkers. And therefore got badly distracted. But do expect that freebie PS Action to be posted soon here.

For now, I’d like to share this really nice graphic design resource called Wood Workshop. It’s a free software where you can create seamless wood textures.

Wood Works Seamless Pattern Generator

Here’s a sample texture I generated using a plain beige texture. It’s so easy to make and the combinations you can play with it just amazing! Well worth downloading.

Wood Works Seamless Texture Generator

This is really a great help. Creating seamless textures can be time consuming and this little free software makes things really fast and easy.
