Scrapping Freebie: Lovely Vintage Floral Frames

Yay! I’m giddy with delight. This freebie made it here before the due date. Hahaha. I know, little things like this makes me happy. I’m making headway in fixing up all my designing files so I’m really happy that I’m doing a bit more actual designing now. Last week, I featured a freebie – A mini kit called Free Vintage Floral Mini Digi Scrapping Kit. Download it for free.

When I was making it, I intended it really to be just a mini kit. With a few elements and a single paper. I was feeling a little lazy that time, but I did not imagine falling in love with the ‘vintage-y’ theme and the light color scheme. But I did. So I ended up making a whole new set of digi scrapping frames based on that theme. So here’s a little something more for everyone..

This freebie bag contains 3 custom made frames. I’m sure a lot of you can find pretty uses for these.

These are PU and CU ok. I love giving out freebies, but I do spend a lot of time making every little thing I give out, and I’m not requiring any link banks (although its much appreciated) I simply ask to please just don’t claim this as your own or redistribute it as is. Do read my TOU’s included in the download file.

It’s almost Christmas and I’m feeling a little more generous. Lol. And not too lazy. I guess, the cool breeze of the season is getting to me so I think I’m going to be more productive in the next few weeks. I’ve also been clearing out my files so I could easily find what I need now when the inspiration strikes and I wanna create something for digi-scrapping. Here’s a little gift for everyone, hahaha no I’m not giving out gurkha cigars, mind you. I made a mini kit for everyone called Vintage Floral. {Yeah! So unimaginative name lol}.

It’s a mini kit for Personal or Commercial Use. It includes a beige textured background/paper and 8 embellishments.  I’ll be coming up with frames with this theme and giving it out next week. Plus I’m working on a few mini kits for giveaways so check this space often.

Crafty Finds: Gorgeous Earrings From Etsy

I wanted to get inspired today. Mainly because I’ve been thinking of several digi scrapping kit projects and I really really want some pretty inspirations. Whenever I’m in this mood I just wander over at Etsy.com and have my fill of the pretty. And of course, I got hooked on some pretty fabulous and crafty finds. How I wish I still make jewelry, I miss it sometimes, but I know I simply cannot fit it on my sched.

Here’s some really gorgeous earrings, I know some people prefer diamond earrings for women, but I do love different kinds of precious stones and handcrafted earrings on my jewelry box. And here’s just some that I wouldn’t mind having gracing my ears lol.

Design Resource: BgPatterns

Found this cool little online app that allows users to generate background patterns in just a few clicks called BgPatterns. They choices are limited but its fun to play around with color combinations, textures and images on stock for some simple and cool looking background. I love the fact that you can easily preview your work as a background for the page. The images you create is also downloadable in .png files.

BgPatterns.com

I do hope the author would expand this little app as this looks really like a cool tool for designers. Do check it out and play around with the backgrounds. As for me, I’m off in a bit for some reading about trucking and will be churning out digi scrapping stuff later.

Scrapping Freebie: Leaf Pattern Overlay + 8 Papers

Here’s another freebie for everyone. I haven’t done any good enough digi-scrapping stuff lately. Mostly because I’ve been trying to get my things organized. I have a lot of things like brushes, shapes, well the works that I use with Photoshop and Illustrator and I feel like my computer is just one big mess and for awhile I kinda deluded myself into thinking its all part of the job, like I’m holding some blasted Database Designer Jobs and that I’m entitled to being messy. Lol.

But you know, it just occurred to me that I have a hard time finding things that I need with the mess I made. So I’ve been spending a few days now organizing my files. I’m almost done and I feel unbelievably great. Yeah, like I’ve accomplished something! Next up would be backing it all up on a spare portable hard drive in case something goes wrong.

So now I’m feeling a little celebratory, and last night I dashed in made a freebie for everyone. I just love pattern overlays and use them a lot on my Photoshop projects. It’s a great way to add a distinctive factor to any project and its way way my top favorite in adding an extra oomph to my background papers.

Here’s an overlay made with Pretty Leaf patterns I got from PatternCooler.com. It has a transparent background so you can set any color, texture or another pattern as your background. Then you can recolor and style the leaves any way you like. I’m pretty sure you guys can come up with lots and lots of awesome looks with this overlay. Also, I’m feeling extra generous so I’ve thrown in 8 papers (8×8 inches, 300 dpi) made using this overlay.

And oh, thanks to Lost & Taken and Gunhild for some textures I used as background overlays for the papers. This freebie is okay for PU and CU. Enjoy!
